Flor de Rafael González Márquez

This trademark became a celebrity in Spain thanks to an advertising campaign which said: "González Márquez was born in Havana", during the period of ruling of the Premier Felipe González Márquez.

This is an excellent quality cigar, with an average strength and a mixture which satisfy the most demanding smokers. The wrapper's colors are browns (reddish brown). This 2006,  celebrates its 70th anniversary.

Two stories are known about the origin of these cigars. The first one is related to Flor de Rafael González Márquezthe presence of the Marquis Rafael González in Cuba, who spent his time on tobacco businesses.

The other one mentions Márquez and Rafael González, two Spanish cigar producers who baptized their cigars with the names of La Flor de Márquez, which dates from 1936, and La Flor de Rafael González, registered in 1946. In 1954, these trademarks merged, giving rise to La Flor de Rafael González Márquez, name with which it is known all around the world at the moment. Its tobacco comes from Vuelta Abajo (Pinar del Río).

They are commercialized in Spain, Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, Andorra, Great Britain, Switzerland, Africa, the Middle East, and other countries.
